What is WEEE?
The United Kingdom is under an obligation to minimise the disposal of Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in domestic waste and encourage recycling, recovery and environmentally sound disposal.
TJ Hughes is committed to promoting the reuse, recycling and recovery of WEEE by offering an in-store take back service for our customers who purchase replacement items.Products or packaging will be marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol (See below) to indicate that the product must not be disposed of in domestic waste but disposed of through an approved WEEE take back scheme.

How it works:
TJ Hughes offers an in-store take back on any electrical and electronic equipment which we sell when buying a similar replacement.Customers who purchase electrical items on-line can return their similar products to their local store, free of charge, by showing their on-line receipt.
We regret that we do not offer a free of charge collection services due to deliveries being handled via a third party.
We regret that we are unable to accept an old item in-store where there is a risk to Health & Safety or any product entailing personal data.
