Registration

When you place an order with TJ Hughes online you will be required to enter a valid e-mail address in order to receive confirmation e-mails regarding your order. This e-mail address will be used to create a user account that is individual to yourself and can be used to speed up any further orders you wish to place with TJ Hughes online. You will also be assigned a password to ensure the security of your account. Do not let anyone else have access to this password. If you think that someone may have access to this password please contact us at webenquiries@tjhughes.co.uk and we will reset your password for you to update. Passwords are never viewed by TJ Hughes staff and we will never ask you for your password.

    Delivery Agreement

    Our standard delivery time is within 7 working days. Some products have an extended delivery time as they are delivered direct from the manufacturer and the estimated delivery time for these items will be indicated on the product description.

      Ordering

      Your order is placed when you press the confirm button in the checkout once you have entered your delivery and payment details. At this point your order is not considered to be accepted by TJ Hughes and enters our order processing stages.

      You will receive an e-mail to the address supplied confirming your order is ready to be processed and also confirming the items ordered and total charge.

      Your order is deemed to be accepted once it has been processed and dispatched. Please ensure that the expiry date on the card supplied is after the expected dispatch date as we may not be able to charge your card and therefore process your order.

      Your order may not be accepted for reasons including but not exclusive to the following;

          * Products ordered are unavailable or unsuitable to dispatch.
          * We are unable to obtain funds from your bank
          * Pricing or description errors on the products you have ordered.
          * For any reason you do not comply with these terms and conditions at the time of dispatch

        Items marked (CR)

        Where an item is marked (CR) on the product description anywhere on our website, TJ Hughes is not the seller. In these cases TJ Hughes is not involved in the transaction between buyer and seller and is not the agent of and has not had authority for either, for any purpose. Accordingly, the contract formed is solely between buyer and seller. The enforcement of any contractual obligations arising out of the completion of a transaction is the responsibility of buyers and sellers party to that transaction. TJ Hughes is not obligated to enforce or execute fulfillment of any contract.

          Refunds/Exchanges

          Where we are happy to offer a refund or exchange on faulty goods however, this can only be dealt with through our internet site and cannot be completed at any local TJ Hughes store.

            Cancellation/Returns Policy

            Once your order is placed you have the option of cancelling your order by contacting us directly either by e-mail at webenquiries@tjhughes.co.uk or via telephone on 0845 605 0515

            We hope you will be satisfied with any product purchased on our website, but if you wish to return a product to us for any reason you may do so within 28 days of the despatch date. It must be in a saleable condition and in its original undamaged packaging, with tags, labels and accessories. We will refund the price of the product to the purchaser, but we will consider the overall condition of the product being returned when making a refund.

             

            Please note that we cannot exchange or accept the return of certain products, for reasons of hygiene, safety or security. We do not accept returns on opened bedding, cosmetics, fragrance, mattresses, mattress toppers, opened duvets, opened pillows, earrings, piercing jewellery, swimwear, underwear, perishable products or CD’s, DVD’s or computer software that’s been opened unless faulty, not as described or unfit for intended purpose.

             

            Where we are happy to offer a refund or exchange however this can only be dealt with through our internet site and cannot be completed at any local TJ Hughes store

             

            We will refund your original delivery charges only where an item is deemed to be faulty/damaged or unfit for intended purpose, but not where an item is simply unwanted.

             

            If you would like help with returning your goods we can arrange for them to be collected and the charge for this will be deducted from your refund. The standard charge for this service is currently £10.00 however this amount may increase if you are returning a particularly large/heavy item. Contact us directly either by e-mail at webenquiries@tjhughes.co.uk or via telephone on 0845 605 0515. Please complete the Returns Note enclosed indicating your reason for return, requiring a refund or exchange and return inside the parcel.

             

            In order for TJ Hughes to continue to offer great products at great prices, we will only cover the delivery cost to return an item if it is deemed to be faulty or unfit for the intended purpose. If the cost of returning your faulty item is in excess of £7.50 please contact us and we will arrange a free collection as we cannot offer a postage refund above this amount.

            We recommend that you obtain proof of delivery for any item that you return as faulty, as this will be required in the event that your parcel does not reach us.

            In an instance where a parcel does not reach us and proof of delivery cannot be produced, we regret that we will be unable to offer a refund.

             

            All our courier collection services operate on a Mon-Fri rota, and we regret that it will not be possible for us to offer a weekend collection service, irrespective of circumstance.

For example, in order to perform our Services, we will require a third party to process in-bound card payments. In addition and if necessary, we may transfer the management of your "TJ HUGHES" Account to a third party for debt recovery purposes. Such third parties will hold and process your information securely and we will ensure that they will comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and another applicable law and will only process your information for the purposes and in the manner directed by us. We also may transfer your information to credit reference or fraud prevention agencies, law enforcement agencies, other governmental agencies or third parties in relation to anti-fraud checks, alleged illegal activities and for the purpose of complying with applicable laws, including anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism laws. Such agencies and third parties may keep a record of your information

                    Availability

                    Every effort is made to ensure that the items that we feature on our website are in stock. However, in the unlikely event that a product you have ordered is not in stock or unavailable, we will endeavor to contact you at the earliest opportunity, either by e-mail or telephone to advise. You are then entitled to cancel your order completely, exchange for a different product of the same value or if the item is temporarily out of stock, wait for the item to be replenished. Alternatively, if we believe that the item you wish to order will not be replenished, we will not accept your order and inform you accordingly.
